From the 9th C. to the 17th C., from Norway to Italy, and from Brittany to Turkey, a wide range of authentic
portrayals are included.

Viking Hersir 875 AD.
With a spangenhelm and a riveted maille shirt for armour, our Viking wears a linen tunic with a wool over-tunic, woolen trousers
and moose-hide turnshoes.
He carries a Tea-cosy pommel
sword in a wooden scabbard lined
with fleece and wrapped with
leather. Brass plates decorate
the baldric. The seax is carried
horizontally on a seperate belt.

16th C. Armour.
This knight, circa 1525, wears Gothic armour with an armet. Note the lowered lance rest.
The armour is similar to that
worn by the King of Bohemia,
D. 1515.

15th C. French Crossbowman.
Unarmoured except for the salade, he carries a longsword and a buckler.

13th C. Knight.
This knight is wearing a full harness of maille with a barrel helm
displaying his crest.
His coat-of-arms painted
on his shield is repeated
on his surcoat.

8th C. Frankish Warrior.
Spear, steel-rimmed shield and spangenhelm make up this warrior's kit. Cross-gartered
linen trousers and a linen
tunic with center-seam
turnshoes complete the impression.

15th C. Knight with a Pollaxe.
Milanese armour with a frog-mouthed jousting helm, and a riding
sword complete this
knight's portrayal.
