The September Event at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Some new members have joined with horses! We now have 10 mounted men and ladies!

The Knights of St. Denys Take Their Bows.
Lining up in the arena
during the Parade of Breeds.

Halbardier holds a horse for his lord.
The halberdier is wearing a barbute, gothic
pauldrons, a breast and back and steel gauntlets.
He has on wool hosen, a wool doublet, linen
braies and shirt and a pair of turnshoes.
Barak and the Lady Johanna.
Having picked Barak out
at first sight, the
Lady Johanna has been
overseeing his training,
and has obviously made
a friend in the process...
The Tiltyard.
Sir Victor von Vic tilts
the rings while a squire
attends.
Medieval Turnshoes.
These shoes are made of
red deer hide uppers
with thick cow hide
soles. They are sewn
inside-out, then turned
after stitching to hide
the stitches.
Off to the Tiltyard.
The Lady Johanna and Barak
are escorted by a halberdier.
Turnshoes.
These shoes are extremely
comfortable unless you
are on man-made surfaces.
Camp View.

Also note the points
for attaching the
elbows on the armour.
16th C. Man-at-Arms.
Jousting armour with a close-helm
and bear-foot sabatons.
Barb, Wayne and Tom.
Looking spiff and ready for action...
12th C. Norman Miles.
The chausses have not yet
been fitted, and the coif
hasn't been attached yet.
12th C. Norman.

is an equestrian
Timeline group,
and different time
periods are allowed.
Our members can
portray from 850 AD to
1525 AD.
Armour Undergarments.
Here our Norman knight is shown in a padded
gambeson made of linen and stuffed with wool.
A similarly padded coif is on his head.
Woolen hosen cover his legs, and a short
boot of turnshoe construction completes
the outfit.
