Welcome to the Knights of St. Denys website! The Knights of St. Denys is an equestrian re-enactment group dedicated to authenticity and demonstrating the skills of medieval knighthood. We are a timeline, and do not portray a specific war or event like some Living History groups do. We require members to accurately portray the persona they wish to demonstrate. All combat is with rebated steel weapons, and performed according to the Fechbooks of the middle ages. We do not allow modern sports equipment, plastic, duct tape or mundane clothes. Members are expected to research and provide their own kit, and may portray any persona they can afford and excel in. Knights are required to have a horse, tack, armour, pavilion and the skills expected of their station. People who do not have a horse are welcomed as infantry, squires, grooms and groundspersons. |
